Aqueous Coatings

Aqueous Coating is a clear coating which enhances the feel and color of any printed piece. Both gloss and dull aqueous coating dry instantly, and protect the ink and paper from blemishes. The major benefit to aqueous coating is the drying time which allows your job to be dry as soon as it comes off the press and thus can be die cut, folded and finished faster than ever. Where varnish, applied through the ink rollers has a yellowish tint and may take days to dry. If your printed piece will be overprinted with a mailing address or other information by a mail house please check with them that their printer will print on the aqueous coating. The aqueous coating prolongs the drying time of inkjet ink. The inkjet ink will dry it just takes longer.
